Project Management

MKW Construction staff are fully competent and trained through the apprenticeship scheme, degree level education, continued professional development, and shared best practice. We have a structured approach to our construction works enabling us to complete multiple projects, on time, to a high quality and on budget. We issue our clients with a point of contact on site, and an off site project manager.

Estimates

Following initial contact an appointment will be made to view your project proposals. An estimate will be prepared according to your requirements and normally within 10 working days dependant upon it's complexities and subject to suppliers quotations.

Appproved estimate process

  • Agree start date
  • prepare and submit schedule
  • terms of payment - stage, monthly, on completion
  • Contract - No works will be undertaken without some form of contract

Scheduling

An experienced manager will

  • review all of the project information
  • Produce a contract program to include all major elements of the build, target dates and trade elements.

Quality

We recomend that our clients hold regular discussions with their on site point of contact.

  • maintain good communications
  • employ the correct trades
  • ongoing quality checks

Contracts Policy

MKW Construction will not undertake any work without a contract in place

Insurance

MKW are fully insured along with public liability at £5,000,000. These documents are available upon request and will be issued prior to signing any contract.

Health & Safety

The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 applies to all construction projects no matter what their size. We have expert internal advice from a Chartered member of the Institution of  Occupational Health & Safety, and a registered member of the Association of Project Safety.

Design & Build

We are able to offer a complete design - build service. This will include providing the most suitable designer / architect to provide drawings for your project.

MKW Construction will

  • appoint the necessary designers
  • plan the project
  • carry out the build through to handover
