Planning Permission & Building Regulations

Planning Permission & Building Regulations

Stage one of any construction project is to ascertain what legal requirements needs to be met. This includes any planning requirements. Our architects or designers will draft out your conception for initial approval. Once you have agreed the proposals in principal we will enter into discussions with the local planning authority. If planning consent is required the approved drawings will be submitted as part of the application. Note: Your project may not need planning permission dependant on permitted development rights.

The next stage following planning approval is to obtain Building Control Approval. This is to ensure that current Building Regulations are satisfied. Detailed plans, and a specification are drawn up for submission containing technical and construction details. These drawings will provide all of the necessary details to enable pricing the project and to enable the project to be built. Good quality construction drawings and details allows accurate budgeting, pricing, and less room for error.
